Miso Falafel

I love miso, it's deep and rich and adds another flavour layer beyond salty. These are great fresh from the oven or cold in salads, sandwiches and wraps.

Ingredients

1 red onion, peeled and trimmed

1 clove garlic, peeled

2 tins of chickpeas drained

1 tbsp self raising flour

1 tsp ground coriander

1 tsp ground cumin

2 tbsp white miso paste

1 tbsp sesame seeds

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celcius.

  2. Add all of the ingredients, minus the sesame seeds, to a food processor and blend until smooth. Season with black pepper and more miso if needed.

  3. Using clean hands, shape the mix into small balls and place on a lined baking tray. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

  4. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
